The Call-Up
Baseball players spend their whole lives waiting for the call.
The one that tells them they’re headed to The Show. The one that means the bus rides, the back fields, the long nights and the early mornings were all leading somewhere.
I’ve spent the last several years covering those calls. I’ve talked to players right before them. Right after them. I’ve watched prospects turn into big leaguers. I’ve covered all 30 MLB teams, the Draft, All-Star Week and the grind of a 162-game season. I’ve been lucky enough to have a front-row seat to baseball at every level.
But in baseball — and in this business — not every call-up is permanent. Like a lot of players at some point in their careers, I’m waiting for my next call.
So, in the meantime, I’m staying game-ready here.
This is where I’ll be sharing interviews with players, breakdowns of prospects before they’re household names and honest conversations about the game we all love.
Baseball is better when you understand the people behind it. That’s what this space is for.
Until the phone rings, we’ll build something together.
Let’s talk ball.
